We need to have an idea on the potential number of participants to help
us determine the scope of preparation. Please pre-register even if you
have not yet made plans. It will help us enormously.

Actual registration will occur during the mini-reunion of each class
year on Feb. 25, 2011 at the school quadrangle. To streamline the
registration process, only the designated class representative is needed
to submit the list and fees.

Please go to website indicated below. Instructions are shown there.

Thanks.

Narciso,
Thanks for creating and maintaining this website for Red Arrow High School alumni. It's very informative especially the founding and history of the high school. I graduated first honor in 1960 despite being the top in the class. But this pushed me to strive harder and achieved my goals in life. After graduation with a Chemistry degree at NU and worked as a manager in the Tableting and Injectibles at Oro Laboratories and Lexal Laboratories respectively, I came to the US in Dec. 1967. I was one of the first batch of immigrants with professional visa and settled in New York. Then moved to NC after 2 yrs with Burroughs Wellcome, a non-profit pharmaceutical company. I held numerous managerial positions in QC, QA, and AR&D. My dream job was when I managed the testing and release of all Clinical Trials. I put a lot of work in the development of the AIDs drug AZT (Retrovir), anti-depressant bupropion HCl (Wellbutrin) and my baby lamotrigine (Lamictal), an anti-convulsant drug and other drugs like digoxin, etc. I worked on hundreds of drugs that most of it did not make it in the market. I was part of the team that made decisions in the development of several technologies and did extensive travels attending conferences and training all over the US. My 1st retirement was when Glaxo merged with Wellcome. After the merge, I was called back to work then the site was sold to another company, Catalytica, a contract manufacturer, so I retired the 2nd time. Then I was rehired again at Catalytica and retired the 3rd time when it was sold to DSM. I was rehired at DSM and retired for the 4th time 2 years ago. I thinks this retirement this time is for good but consulting firms keep on calling me. So who knows if I'll go back to work. Life was good. I achieved the american dream, had great jobs, comfortable life, and finished educating all the children. I married a nurse, a daughter of a 2 time ex-mayor in Mapandan, Pangasinan. Two daughters are nurses and one of them is in the nurse practitioner program at the catholic university in Washington, DC. My son has a doctor of pharmacy degree and working in Virginia and the last one to get married this October to a medical resident at George Washington University hospital in DC. All my in-laws are caucasians; one works at the Pentagon with a political science and security degree, graduated summa cum laude. My other son-in-law has a degree in chemical engineering and works in a biotechnology company in NC. My future daugther-in law graduated in medical school as the best student in medicine. She is from a british-italian descent. My project, Jaycee Park, won the Jaycees National Award in 1973 - 1974 in the area of population growth and I was elected Director for 2 years after that. Then I was elected twice as President of the Philippine-American Association of NC (PAANC), based in Raleigh in 1996, 1997. I initiated the Philippine and US scholarships to high school students during my first term and the US coordinator of the Carolina Medical Mission to Nueva Ecija in 1996. I was successful during my terms to make PAANC as the umbrella of all the smaller Filipino-american association across NC. I served as Parish Council for 4 years and chaired the International Festival for 5 years. My wife and I exercise regularly at the gym and dance ballroom and country dancing. We did dance exhibition during the Mapandanian Grand Reunion in Las Vegas last July. Because of ballroom dancing, the president of the local college here and his wife joined us on most of the dances. Also, we met people from all walks of life, from blue collar workers to a president of a company or college, doctors, business men, etc. Let us know if you will have an upcoming town or high school alumni reunion. Thanks, Jaime Lagasca
